The photo of Department of Artistic Disciplines and Methods of Teaching
The department provides training for teachers of music and fine arts at the bachelor's and master's degrees. The educational process at the department is provided by more than 20 scientific and pedagogical staff, including a Doctor of Science, a Professor, 7 Candidates of Science, 2 Associate Professors, and 2 Associate Professors of the Department, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Honored Master of Folk Art.
The training of specialists in music and fine arts is based on the educational traditions of the Volyn and Kremenets lyceums and the Taras Shevchenko Pedagogical College in Kremenets.
Over the years, the department has been staffed by Professor S. Stelmashchuk, Associate Professors V. Luzhnyi, K. Maslii, A. Tchaikovska, Honored Artist of Ukraine D. Hubiak, People's Artist of Ukraine, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine V. Yarych, Honored Artist of Ukraine Y. Omelian and E. Udin, Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine A. Hryb.
The Department of Artistic Disciplines and Methods of Teaching The Department of Artistic Disciplines and Methods of Teaching, which is part of the Faculty of Social and Pedagogical Education and Arts, was established in 2018 as a result of the reorganization of the Department of Musical Instrument Playing and Vocal and Choral Disciplines and the Department of Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines.
The research of the department's teachers is carried out in the context of collective topics: "Music-pedagogical and musicological aspects of the development of vocal and instrumental art of Ukraine" and "Methodological bases of competence approach in the professional training of future teachers of fine arts".
The department initiates international, national and regional scientific and practical conferences, including the First and Second All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conferences "Mykhailo Verikivskyi in the Context of the Development of Ukrainian Culture and Education" (Kremenets, 2011, 2016), a scientific and artistic symposium dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of graphic artist, icon painter Rostyslav Hluko (Kremenets, 2017), and the VIII International Scientific and Artistic Symposium-Plenary "Meetings in Kremenets - 2017". A regional competition for applicants named after our countrymen M. Verikivskyi (music) and I. Khvorostetskyi (fine arts) has become a tradition.
The department has a research center "Problems of Artistic and Aesthetic Education and Upbringing of Student Youth in the Context of National Revival", a student research group "Scientific and Artistic Problems of the Present" and a student research seminar "Ways to Improve the Study of Arts in the New Ukrainian School", and the art group "Inspiration" is a participant in numerous art exhibitions.
In 2004, the women's art group Palitra was founded, which participates in annual vernissages, festivals, exhibitions, and national and international plein airs.
The educational institution is decorated with artistic groups: chamber choir (directed by A. Afanasenko), bandura chapel (directed by I. Harambura), symphony orchestra (directed by V. Kozachok), folk dance ensemble "Gorlytsia" (directed by A. Medetskyi), folk choir (directed by O. Putsyk). O. Putsyk), the teachers' ensemble (directed by A. Afanasenko), the men's quartet "Kremin" (directed by V. Ivaniuk), the group "Veseli Kremenchany" (directed by V. Yaskevych), the vocal trio "Vyshyvanka" (directed by I. Ratynska), the ensemble of pipers (directed by M. Tomashivska). Teachers and students of the department take an active part in the cultural and artistic life of the institution, the city and the region.
Regional competitions for applicants who have chosen the artistic specialties "Musical Art" - named after M. Verikivskyi and "Fine Arts" - named after I. Khvorostetskyi have become traditional.
