The article deals with the influence of spiritual art on the development of 8-9 grade students through the integrated course "Art". The role of spiritual works in the formation of moral and cultural values, emotional intelligence and worldview is investigated. A comparison of the programs of the textbooks by N. Nazarenko and L. Masol is made. It is noted that art contributes to the emotional, creative, social and intellectual growth of students, allowing them to express themselves through various forms of art. Attention is focused on the importance of art for the development of creative thinking and empathy through the perception of artistic examples. It has been established that the study of spiritual art contributes to the preservation of cultural traditions, and the need for further in-depth scientific research is emphasized.
