Secretary of the department - Popovych Svitlana Mykhailivna
Department of Information Technology and Methods of Teaching Computer Science provides teaching of informatics and mathematical disciplines and is also a graduating department for educational programme Secondary Education (Informatics).
Educational Process at the department provides 7 science - pedagogical workers, 2 of them are professors and 4 candidates of science.
The Kremenets Taras Shevchenko Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy has been training informatics teachers since 2002 as an additional speciality for teachers of labour training. Since then, the educational establishment has accumulated significant potential for proper training of specialists. Constant communication with the programme alumni, employers, parents, teachers of other educational institutions, and school students made it possible to develop an educational programme in 2017 Secondary Education (Informatics), which was successfully accredited in 2021 (certificate №1626 since 21.05.2021.)
The department's teachers are working on a complex scientific topic "New Paradigms of Computer Science", and the results of their research are systematically discussed at conferences of various levels and published in professional journals.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, preserving the best educational, methodological and scientific traditions of educational institutions of previous years and taking into account modern trends in the development of the educational sector, provide training of a teacher of computer science in accordance with the current requirements at the appropriate level.
The current face of the department is a rich scientific and life experience, multiplied by the passion of young scientists who want to contribute to the department's achievements.
